The Treasury of Pine River

The Pine River area has no shortage of hidden gems, and The Treasury of Pine River is one worth adding to the list. They opened their doors in October 2024, and after seeing their posts (and drooling over their Reuben), it was only a matter of time before a visit was in order.

First Impressions

After following their Facebook page and seeing their mouthwatering food photos, a trip up to Pine River was locked in. Walking through their doors, it immediately felt like stepping into someone’s kitchen—warm, welcoming, and full of good vibes. The team was genuinely excited to see us, eager to chat, and of course, quick to hand out a little sample. That first bite of corned beef? Sealed the deal.

We were already planning to order the Reuben, but after tasting that perfectly seasoned, melt-in-your-mouth corned beef, there was no question. Watching them make it fresh on the spot only added to the anticipation—the butter sizzling on the griddle, the smell of rye bread crisping up, the Swiss cheese melting into the sauerkraut, all slathered with Thousand Island. It was pure magic.

The Reuben Test

The moment we got back in the truck, the first bite happened. Warning: Order extra, because you’re going to want another. This is hands down one of the best Reubens we've had—no question, the best in the Nisswa Lakes Area. And as if that wasn’t enough, they threw in some chocolate chip cookies that were equally top-tier.

A huge shoutout to Jason, Ryan, and Misa—you’ve got something special here.

Worth the Drive
